Due to recent federal legislation governing trademark law, generations of well established laws have been reversed. Under the new law, if a company is using the same name as another company, conflicts can arise, even if the companies are in unrelated industries. Because of this new legislation, DRV (formerly DoubleTree RV) has decided to change its name. In DRV’s case, as many may be aware, DoubleTree is the name of a hotel chain that was purchased by Hilton Hotels. The hotel chain has no connection to DoubleTree RV or the RV industry in general, but to avoid any possibility of future conflict and to make its brands entirely distinct and easy to recognize, DRV is making this change.
The northern Indiana manufacturer produces Mobile Suites, Elite Suites and Select Suites fifth wheels. DRV has not undergone any ownership change and its line up of products remains the same. "The highest quality products are what we stand for," said president David Fought. "The quality of DRV products is better than ever. We are the same great company."

DRV corporate headquarters and manufacturing plant are located in Howe, IN, just south of the Michigan state line.
